La Signora

Taormina is a beautiful town situated on a mountain with a breathtaking view of the sea and of course La Signora, Mount Etna. Taormina is known for the Greek Theater, from which you have a wonderful view of Mount Etna. The registry office in Taormina is the Palazzo Duchi di Santo Stefano. This was built between the late 13th century and the early 14th century. It was an integral part of the medieval city walls of Taormina and a masterpiece of Sicilian Gothic art anchored to the Arabic-Norman. Taormina is a romantic place for a dream wedding just for two. Photos are taken in the beautiful city park and in the beautiful old town. Taormina is also a good place to spend a wonderful honeymoon there. Excursions to the godfather’s village, Etna, boat trips and beach holidays. Everything is possible in this dream city!

Sicilian Baroque

Noto, in the province of Syracuse, is a small jewel of Sicilian Baroque, a charming town on a plateau overlooking the Asinaro Valley. Once an important center of Sicily, the Roman Empire, Byzantium and finally Arab rule, the city was destroyed by a powerful earthquake in 1693, in its heyday. However, thanks to a masterful work, it has been perfectly rebuilt and is now part of the UNESCO World Heritage of the Val di Noto, known for the beauty of its towns.

Great architects from Rome, who were inspired by the Baroque style learned there, were commissioned to rebuild the city. The result went beyond any expectation and the work characterized each city with a different trait: from the gray baroque of Catania to the honey-colored architecture of Noto. The medieval city, of which the remains of the city walls are still visible, is ancient Neto. The new nucleus, built in Baroque style, is characterized by wide, straight streets, broken up by squares and stairways with majestic palaces and churches.

Noto can be visited all year round. In summer you can complete the cultural holiday with excursions to the beautiful beaches of Sicily, while in autumn and winter you can enjoy the entire Val di Noto along the wine routes of its 6 municipalities. You should see the flower festival (fiorata) at least once in your life. Only Sicilians can put so much love into their work. And you can feel this warmth and love on every corner of this wonderful city!

Directly at the sea

Marzamemi is a beautiful little village not far from Noto, directly on the sea. An idyllic village, with some wonderful restaurants. Colorful, typically Sicilian restaurants with excellent food. A very special, extraordinary place for a wedding in Sicily. The small fishing village has a beautiful tonnara, where civil weddings can also be celebrated. This tonnara also houses 7 rooms that can accommodate a small wedding party. The wedding ceremony is then celebrated either inside or perhaps under the open sky in the garden of the Tonnara. Whatever you decide, this unusual place will always be very special!

In Cefalu we have the possibility to celebrate a civil marriage also in the castle of Bordonaro. This fortress dates back to the year 500 and gives your wedding a fantastic setting to enter the port of marriage in a somewhat „unusual“ way. Otherwise, there is still the possibility of getting married in the theater. A wonderful, romantic alternative for a very special wedding in Sicily!

Registry office fees: Sala delle Capriate or Ottagono S. Caterina from 120.00 euros, Castello Bordonaro from 300.00 euros
