Florence under the stars
Discovering the city thanks to free guided evening tours
Florence under the stars’ is an initiative created thanks to a partnership between Florence’s Tourism Agency and the Tour Guide Association of Florence and surrounding areas. The event is aimed at tourists and those living in Florence. Conducted by professional tour guides, these evening tour/talks are designed to illustrate the town’s hidden curiosities, following the footsteps of famous figures, historical events and myths. Cool With the guidance of passionate and competent professionals, you’ll have the chance to experience some of the city’s loveliest corners—and see Florence under the starry sky!
How to join
These evening tour-talks are scheduled to take place every Wednesday and Friday from August 18th to October 20th 2010. Locations will change according to the route (check the dates available). Meet your guide at 8.50pm. Each tour-talk begins at 9pm. Estimated tour time: 2 hours. These guided tours are free of charge and will operate even with few participants. The tours are in Italian. If there are any foreigners taking part, each guide will offer a brief introduction and answer any questions in the language indicated next to participants’ names.
